The month of March is dedicated to St Joseph, the patron saint of fathers, workers and the universal church.

The Story of St Joseph:

During his life, Joseph watched over both Mary and Jesus. He was following the directions that he received in dreams to keep Jesus and Mary safe.

Joseph is seldom mentioned in the New Testament, but these rare encounters show his strength of character, the respect he enjoyed in the community, his ability to act quickly when faced with danger, his kindness, and his intuition.

He was a man at once both very holy and very ordinary.

Let us Pray,

Glorious St. Joseph, you gave your life to humble labor, guiding and protecting the Holy Family with faithfulness, strength, and unwavering trust in God.

We honor you as a model of diligence and integrity. Through your tireless work, you teach us the dignity and purpose of human labor, and remind us that our daily toil, when offered to God, becomes an act of love and service.

Help us to follow your example in our work, performing our tasks with patience, commitment, and joy. Intercede for us, that we may always respect the rights and dignity of workers everywhere.

St. Joseph, protector of all who labor, pray for us, that we may imitate your life of faithful service and always seek to glorify God in our work.  Amen.

Pray the Holy Rosary 

PRAYER is an incredible piece of the jigsaw puzzle of life.  And teaching your children to turn to the Lord will give them a foundation for faith for the rest of their lives. 

The Rosary is an extraordinary way to pray. It is a meditative prayer that honors Mary and asks for her intercession. There is just something about it that settles our hearts and minds. It puts everything in perspective and allows us to see things as they really are. It reaches deep down into our souls and puts us at ease, creating a peace that is rare and beautiful.

You can pray the Rosary for a special intention. You can pray for each other. You can pray the Rosary to grow into a better person, employee, neighbor, citizen, and member of the human family. You can pray the Rosary to deepen your love and understanding of the Gospels. And it only takes about 20 minutes of your time!

The Rosary works. But don’t take our word for it. Try it yourself! Help your children learn to pray by following your example and praying with them. Teach them how to pray so they learn that they have our Blessed Mother–their Spiritual Mother–to intercede for them.
