Life in Christ
This year focuses on the moral life and what it means to live the way God wants us to live. From the Ten Commandments to the Beatitudes to the Great Commandment, throughout salvation history, God has provided us with models for living virtuously. Ultimately, He sent us Christ Himself, who gives us the perfect model of holiness and calls us to live like Him and in Him. Together, families will come to a deeper appreciation of Christianity, not just as a set of rules, but as a complete way of life, totally immersed in Christ and leading to life with Him in Heaven forever.
Adoration & Confession
Every Monday St. John’s will have Adoration and Confession from 4:30-5:30 pm.
Come and spend a few minutes or the entire hour with the Lord. He is waiting, listening.
"We are called to Know God, to Love God, and to Serve God by our words and actions."
Weather Cancellation for all Religious Education, Sacramental Preparation and Youth Ministry Events
If Edgar school is closed for the day or dismissed early, our classes and programs are automatically cancelled.
If deteriorating weather conditions make driving hazardous later in the day, classes and programs may be cancelled. The decision, in this case, will be made by 2:30 pm. Information will be made public through an announcement at school and our web page.
In all cases, feel free to call the office if you are unsure.
Serve God by our Words and Actions:
Volunteers are Always Needed!
Have you ever thought about helping children or teens grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith? Would you like to make a difference in the lives of young people?
God asks each of us to use our talents to help others grow in a deeper relationship with Him. Helping a child learn what that means through faith formation, sacramental preparation, and youth ministry events is a gift both given and received.
The programs at St. John the Baptist Parish are done by volunteers. Click here to go to the volunteer tab under Evangelization (CCD) to find out all of the different ways to volunteer. Help us build a strong Catholic community, now and into the future
